Must Do This 2012: Bobbi Brown 10-Step Pretty Powerful Class

Studio SnR x Bobbi Brown Beauty High Tea Series

Just before January commenced, I invited you to join me two weeks later at Studio SnR for its first Beauty High Tea Series this 2012. Bobbi Brown has a big space both in my boudoir and my heart because it’s one of the first brands I truly loved when I put my avant garde phase aside. In retro, I first learned the 10-Step beauty routine in Dubai with Bobbi Brown’s Official Middle East Trainer, Eliano Bou Assi.

nostalgia: my first Bobbi Brown eye shadow palette

Fast forward to 2012, countless gigs, and 5x lighter tresses, I’m still lemming for more of Bobbi Brown’s trademark Pretty Powerful look tips and tricks. Apart from Serenitea’s signature milk tea, I guess that’s why I said yes to the workshop in a heartbeat.

As soon as I entered Studio SnR, I was handed this box of essentials for the class:

not in the photo: Bobbi Brown (via Rustan’s) and Serenitea GCs

I quickly laid out my essentials:

We were encouraged to bring our own brushes so I brought my Charm Essentials Pretty in Pink Vegan 14-pc Makeup Brush Set (whew!) because I’ve tried, tested, and abused it to work perfectly with most of my makeup, Bobbi Brown included. I can go on and on raving about this brush set because it works perfectly with my sensitive skin. I think I even stopped breaking out when I switched to these 100% vegan brushes because they don’t irritate my skin causing roughness nor redness. Also, because they dry in a jiffy, I can afford to deep cleanse them every two days. Gotta love how it totally feeds my OCD!

Some star products that knocked my socks off:

Bobbi Brown Eye Makeup Remover
this surprisingly removed the longest lasting (for me at least) mascara in the market in two swipes

Bobbi Brown neutral, multitasking eye shadows
sold separately but put together in a 6 brick palette perfectly

BBU Palette/Palette Artiste Bobbi Brown
A make-up artist must have that houses the famous Corrector, Creamy Concealer, and Foundation Stick.
An absolute want for myself, Christine, Jean, and Kissa.

I can teach you all 10 steps but there’s nothing like having the products on hand. Call Bobbi Brown Rustan’s Makati (813-3739 loc. 225) or Shangri-La Mall (633-4636) for a lesson of your choice stat.

At the end of the class, all students were armed with beautiful smiles, pretty and powerful skin care and makeup tips, plus a handful of new friends. If schedule permits, I’d love to do the Studio SnR x Bobbi Brown Beauty High Tea Series all over again. :)

  1. oh wow! that BBU Palette is to die for! May I know how much it is? And did you buy it separately or was it included in the box? :)

  2. Whoa!!! I want that palette so bad! How is the foundation on the BBU palette applied? Is it creamy enough to be applied with a stippling brush or is it too cakey that you’d need a sponge?

    • Both a stippling (though I’d go for a pure synthetic/vegan brush) and a sponge will work because these are cream formulas.
