We wrapped up the 9hr curriculum last Saturday by further understanding Color Atelier:

• the 411 on pressed eye shadows (matte – M, pearl – P, iridescent – IR, metallic - ME, glitters – G)
• different types of glow-ons (blush/soft, shadow and accent/vivid, highlight/lift)
• transformable day to night looks

I worked most of my looks around this pre-made Color Atelier palette. I used the pearl eye shadow to highlight and the black one to serve as accent and darken florescent hues.

These are the look I made. They’re so easy each took me just 10 mins max (prepping took longer)! :)

• M Blue 665 on the lids — looks very turquoise in person and quite scary to work with but very pretty on warm complexions!

• M Green 565 on the lids — another super gorgeous matte eye shadow! This and M Blue 665 makes me want to revamp and haul up on my eye shadow collection!

• This is the best groupon I’ve ever purchased! :)
• Don’t know a thing about makeup? Then this class is for you. I enrolled in this class mainly to feed my shu uemura addiction and to sort of indulge in this makeup passion I have. I’ve done my research and reviews about the brand over and over so a lot of things from the curriculum weren’t very new to me but worked like very refreshing reviews.
• shu uemura’s matte eye shadows are THE BOMB. I can’t believe I haven’t tried them ’til yesterday! Their colours are true to pan and they last forever!
• My Charm brushes LOVE shu uemura makeup! I brought the Charm Pocket Brush Set during day 1, the PRO on day 2, and the Travel PRO v3on the last day. I wasn’t able to use the first set much because day 1 was all about base makeup and skin care while on the second day, the PRO stole the scene! Patrick loved both this set and the Travel PRO v3! Amongst all three sets, I got to use the most brushes on the third day from the Travel PRO v3. Also, I did not experience a single fall out using these brushes so big YAY!
• The secret to long lasting eye makeup: good skin care + prep work. I only had concealer & loose powder on my lids as primers.
• My former HG concealer 3 years ago’s a goner for good reasons. I teared up a little when this wonder was discontinued:

My HG concealer’s replaced by the two variants above. I will dabble more about these concealers soon but really — if you haven’t tried them out yet for the undereye area and dark spots, you are missing on something pretty sleek!
