Simple Yet Meaningful Joys

Happy new year everyone! NY 2012 kicked off a little too early for my family. We had our first reunion yesterday at my aunt’s (Mother Goose’s sister) house/club house/basketball court (LOL). We usually hold our celebration during NYE but my family of four will be counting down early today with the other side of the fambam.

Incomplete yet oh-so giddy!

I got more presents yesterday but what’s awesome’s that I received both wishlist wishes:

Everyone thinks I’m hard to please. In some ways yes (definitely) but if you know me too well, you know that simple yet very useful things make me ecstatic. These gifts for instance are two gifts that everyone frowns on. Me? I LOVE THEM! :D If you workout 5x a week you need fresh and cushy socks (else you’ll get blisters). Lately I’m in love with these socks from BioFresh — they’re not only lint free but they’ve outlast some of my more expensive socks.

The Dove bars? Hello — someone’s addicted! Other things I love receiving as gifts (FYI, might be useful hahaha): fluffy hand and bath towels, 3×3 Post-its in neon pink or bright violet, sun-dried tomatoes, and coffee (ground or 3-in-1). My niece, Kydee is currently in Viet Nam and I think she read my mind when she and her mom shopped for our presents:

from Viet Nam with lots of love <3

Someone got a present from one of my nieces too:

I hope that all of you’ve had a wonderful and meaningful 2011 and of course, would get to enjoy more blessings (sounds like more contests on my part heehee) this 2012! Cheers to another year filled with one million and one awesomecakes! :)
