Just before we closed January, I was cleaning out my boudoir’s “top shelf” when I realized — all of my favourite lipsticks are from the berry family.
On Instagram last 29 January:
I just found a neat excuse to go #lipstick shopping.
On Instagram last 02 February:
Partyline. Viva Glam III. Dubonnet.
Rotating these MAC reds a lot lately. What other shades should I try? I’m NC40.
For someone wearing a lot less makeup all over (derma’s orders), this presents pros and cons. Top pro would be — I can sleep all day, wake up with only 10 minutes to prep for work, pick any colour and I’m good to go because I’m 100% definite they complement my skin tone. Biggest con — apparently, I don’t have anything that’s not red (!!!).
I’ve been long postponing my hunt for the perfect pink and perfect neutral when the need presented itself just last Tuesday. I was at the Powerplant Mall wearing my usual cat eyes and MAC Perpetual Flame + MAC Partyline when I realized that my face is too red from the peeling I’m going through. In my attempt to balance the look out, I removed the red lippies and swiped on some MAC Cremesheen Gloss in Imperial Light. It was too light so I made a 911 run to THE lipstick HQ. Bet you already know where I went!

In my mind, New Year’s Eve countdowns should the this festive:
chocolates, pastries and apple iced tea bar at the Lancome Paris Greenbelt 5 boutique
Then again, real life dictates the exact opposite. I will be at work tomorrow when most of you set off fireworks and basque in champagne. According to Tara though, this “Phoebe problem” shouldn’t stop me from having a ball. I can absolutely have a shindig in my mind and choose who should and shouldn’t be there. LOL
With this party in my mind, I have this beauty peg from Lancome. Isn’t Hanaa Ben Abdesslem the epitome of Parisienne glam? *swoon*
Her ultra chic evening look’s mostly made up using the Lancome Holiday 2012 key pieces below.

Like most (I’m assuming if not all) beauty counters in Rustan’s EDSA Shangri-la, Lancome recently had their side of the floor renovated. I was privileged to join them at the reopening last June 16 over canapes and colourful macarons.
some of my favourite daily luxuries
Mother Goose LOVES Visionnaire (far right)
Lancome is one of those brands dear to me and Mother Goose. The latter’s always had an impeccable, Parisian taste in cosmetics. Growing up, I saw Lancome lipsticks in her boudoir in hues of berry, berry, and more berry. While I was at the counter, I tried on some lipsticks from the permanent, highly raved range called L’Absolu Rouge. I was immediately drawn to these two colours. The one on the right looked much like one of my mom’s favourite berry hued lipsticks. There was no mental debate at all — it was so easy ask for a fresh stock of the lippie on the right because it’s beautifully pigmented, super comfortable, and stains nicely even when the gloss is gone. It’s Php 1395 a pop and I felt that it was absolutely worth spending on.

Our friends from Lancome recently invited me to try out their new Complexion Finder app. More than getting an excellent skin tone match, I surprisingly found the best compact foundation in town today.
Limited Edition Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Slim Compact (case)
Lancome Blanc Expert Mineral with White Sapphire Complex Compact Foundation SPF 29/PA+++ in O-O35
The powder captures and reflects the light on the complexion for a bright and flawless finish. The skin achieves a new level of translucency and luminosity. With spots and pores are visibly erased and covered; your complexion appears radiant as if from within. It contains an exclusive mix of 5 botanical extracts naturally rich in AHA, known to help cell renewal for a young, healthy-looking skin. The unique association of this Complex and high UV protection helps to efficiently prevent the appearance of brown spots while brightening your skin every day.
Today’s post is supposed to be something absolutely luxurious, almost icy-swell. My Saturday mornings are usually dedicated to shooting products for the blog and lazy hot cherry blossom tea sips in between. I was ready with a peg of the 9 things I currently can’t live without when one of the photo’s elements started to move like silly.
Gone are the peaceful “product shooting” mornings. =$

Step 2: Emulsion (Php 3995)
Step 3: Serum (Php 4950)
Mother Goose and I recently road tested the Lancôme Visionnaire Serum and we’re very pleased with the results. I got comfortably tighter skin and less visible pores in 4 days (AM/PM use) while my mom in her late 50s (sorry for publishing this mom!) got smoother skin and less visible wrinkles in 2 days (AM/PM usage as well). Here’s what we paired it with:
