Happy Monday everyone! :) So sorry that this entry is a full week late. I have a rather unique and valid excuse and I hope you’ll forgive me.
How do you like my orange gel polish?
For more than a month now, I’ve been trying my damn best to put up with this pain in my left ankle. Last week, I just couldn’t take it anymore so I saw an orthopedic. Turns out, my left ankle has something like a torn ligament. Doctor said I could have gotten it from a bad run (since I’ve been training for 10/21 K for a while now). I think I know exactly where I got this from considering it started before I got diagnosed of dengue. Grrrrr.
To cut my excuse letter short, I’m currently wearing a splint and immobile for two weeks. Two weeks of wobbling like a penguin and skipping like a rabbit. I still go to work but come home very tired so I couldn’t really say hi-hello and write here my blog. It’s been almost a week of being tied to my splint and really, it doesn’t get any easier nor better. The pain on my foot is still there (I’m taking meds with it as well) and at this point, I’m just praying for the best because my doctor already warned me that if I don’t get better with this splint, it will be replaced with a cast. Apart from shopping for more dresses (since it won’t fit in my pants), the idea doesn’t even a bit excite me.
I digress. We’re finally down to the last week of this challenge and I’m so excited to share this entry with all of you. Here’s a recap of the snaps I used for the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Best Beauty Forward challenge:

Round 5 was very easy to guess. Goldi and mrskaya got it right — I was wearing the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV. Since this is the final round, I decided to make it extra difficult (to me at least!). *grins*
Here’s a quick look I did last Saturday just before I went to the shu uemura Atelier in Powerplant Mall for my YUME makeup class. If you’re following me on Twitter, this snap looks painfully familiar. :)
On my lips is one of my fave new lipsticks from Bobbi Brown called Lip Color in ATOMIC ORANGE (more juicy goodness here). It’s a wildly pretty pick me upper that’s such a refreshing break from the usual hot pink lippies (which by the way I feel look funny on me). How about on my face? Say hello to my cheated, teary-eyed face. I was treated to a hearty breakfast by my parentals earlier but my golly — the peppered steak’s too hot! As in nakakaiyak hot. I like chili but not that much. To make things worse, we didn’t have milk in tow so here I am noshing on chocolate for breakfast.
Sigh.

Remember last week’s super panget day? Apparently, when you’re feeling as bad, it could be something worse than the usual allergy run. Something this blotchy (photo here, I saved it as a link in case you’re having breakfast with my blog) might be is dengue.
So yes, I spent the latter part of the week staring at the view above (at CBTL, Asian Hospital). The doctors were amazed because I was still able to drag myself to work for 3 days with the swollen red spots and 40 degree fever. Actually, it wasn’t very easy because my feet still hurt like silly and until now, my ankles are still swollen. On the plus side, it does pay to take all the supplements in the world coupled with 4x a week gym sessions. Docs said it could’ve been worse but my immune system’s fought the virus really hard!
