Happy Monday everyone! :) So sorry that this entry is a full week late. I have a rather unique and valid excuse and I hope you’ll forgive me.
How do you like my orange gel polish?
For more than a month now, I’ve been trying my damn best to put up with this pain in my left ankle. Last week, I just couldn’t take it anymore so I saw an orthopedic. Turns out, my left ankle has something like a torn ligament. Doctor said I could have gotten it from a bad run (since I’ve been training for 10/21 K for a while now). I think I know exactly where I got this from considering it started before I got diagnosed of dengue. Grrrrr.
To cut my excuse letter short, I’m currently wearing a splint and immobile for two weeks. Two weeks of wobbling like a penguin and skipping like a rabbit. I still go to work but come home very tired so I couldn’t really say hi-hello and write here my blog. It’s been almost a week of being tied to my splint and really, it doesn’t get any easier nor better. The pain on my foot is still there (I’m taking meds with it as well) and at this point, I’m just praying for the best because my doctor already warned me that if I don’t get better with this splint, it will be replaced with a cast. Apart from shopping for more dresses (since it won’t fit in my pants), the idea doesn’t even a bit excite me.
I digress. We’re finally down to the last week of this challenge and I’m so excited to share this entry with all of you. Here’s a recap of the snaps I used for the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Best Beauty Forward challenge:
week 1 - week 3
week 2 - week 4
week 5
Round 5 was very easy to guess. Goldi and mrskaya got it right — I was wearing the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV. Since this is the final round, I decided to make it extra difficult (to me at least!). *grins*
Here’s a quick look I did last Saturday just before I went to the shu uemura Atelier in Powerplant Mall for my YUME makeup class. If you’re following me on Twitter, this snap looks painfully familiar. :)
On my lips is one of my fave new lipsticks from Bobbi Brown called Lip Color in ATOMIC ORANGE (more juicy goodness here). It’s a wildly pretty pick me upper that’s such a refreshing break from the usual hot pink lippies (which by the way I feel look funny on me). How about on my face? Am I wearing the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV? Comment (full mechanics after the cut) with a yes or no below for a chance to win a bottle of your own like debbie jane de dios and Orlaine Pablo from last week. :)
Say hello to my cheated, teary-eyed face. I was treated to a hearty breakfast by my parentals earlier but my golly — the peppered steak’s too hot! As in nakakaiyak hot. I like chili but not that much. To make things worse, we didn’t have milk in tow so here I am noshing on chocolate for breakfast.
Sigh.
Please make me smile and guess if I’m wearing the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV above. Two winners like Joy Domingo and Carmi Zate from last week’s round will take home one bottle each home. Please take time to read the updated mechanics below before joining the contest.
To those who guessed that I AM wearing the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV in this photo – you are correct! :)
Congratulations Joanne Tiu and Faith Balisacan!
How about in this photo? Am I wearing the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV? :)
Here’s a hint:

So yes — I’m one of the selected bloggers who’s up for another round of the Fine Fairness challenge (glad my skin’s up for it!). :) Last week I asked if I had the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UVon in this photo and a lot of you got the answer correctly:
I’m NOT.
Congrats to Sheryl and Dyanie for getting the answer right!
Remember last week’s super panget day? Apparently, when you’re feeling as bad, it could be something worse than the usual allergy run. Something this blotchy (photo here, I saved it as a link in case you’re having breakfast with my blog) might be is dengue.
So yes, I spent the latter part of the week staring at the view above (at CBTL, Asian Hospital). The doctors were amazed because I was still able to drag myself to work for 3 days with the swollen red spots and 40 degree fever. Actually, it wasn’t very easy because my feet still hurt like silly and until now, my ankles are still swollen. On the plus side, it does pay to take all the supplements in the world coupled with 4x a week gym sessions. Docs said it could’ve been worse but my immune system’s fought the virus really hard!
Sleepless after pulling an all-nighter at 2pm (say what?), I’m wearing a sneaky smug because of two things. ONE – Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV is finally and exclusively available in Watsons Philippines.
Achieve instant fairness and inner whitening with the new NEUTROGENA® FINE FAIRNESS® BB CREAM UV
Patience is a virtue, they say. And most whitening products will test that virtue by having you wait several months before you see your whitening product take effect. But sometimes, you need fairer skin RIGHT NOW. So NEUTROGENA® is giving you just that.
The new NEUTROGENA® FINE FAIRNESS® BB Cream UV provides instant fairness and blemish-free skin through special skintone-matching minerals. Because NEUTROGENA® is a strong advocate of healthy beauty, this BB Cream also contains the science of FINE FAIRNESS® to work within your skin and provide continuous whitening from the inside out.
The FINE FAIRNESS® BB Cream UV is the final addition to the existing FINE FAIRNESS® line, which currently consists of a Cleanser, Toner, Lotion SPF30, Night Cream, UV Sunblock, Serum, and Whitening Mask.
NEUTROGENA Fine Fairness BB Cream UV is a multi-benefit whitening moisturiser thatcorrects dullness and uneven skin tone for a fairer, natural-looking healthy glow. Workingfrom within, its unique lightweight formula contains Neutrogenas HealthyWhite Complexwith Lily and Vitamin C to help inhibit melanin production, which causes pigmentation andskin dullness. It instantly brightens skin with customised skin-matching illuminating mineralsand protects skin by shielding it from darkening UV rays and environmental aggressors.
I’m very, very excited about this BB cream because Fine Fairness really worked for me and my mom. I can’t wait to get my hands on this 5/5 star product (based on Cozycot reviews) stat! Have you tried this yourself? Do let me know if it worked for you! :)
The Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV is available in Singapore for S$21.90 (approx. Php 740) and is slated to arrive in Manila between January – February 2012.
You heard us gush about it over and over. Let me share some of my fave and what I think are rather epic snaps from our UBE (I think this is best coined as “ultimate bundat experience”) weekend:
We heard it’s mandatory to take a snap in this spot:
Really — we don’t know what we’re doing here although this comes naturally to me because when I play with Junkie I do this pose (and no, she doesn’t like it):
Bias aside, my vote definitely goes to Neutrogena Fine Fairess Deep Whitening Mask (Php 990 /box of 5 sheets). Apart from the instant and lasting brightening kick, it also leaves my skin so soft and radiant. I love this mask a lot that I’d be scared for life (for now at least that nothing beats it IMHO) if Neutrogena will face it out. Checkout my secret stash to see how addicted I am:
a stack of 15 is <333
Instead of following the instructions, I like sleeping in the morning (or evening…) with a mask on. While the effect is awesome, it might not be the best thing to do if you’re the type of sleeper that rolls around. :)
