What happens when Nike collaborates with (the awesome) Pinoy rock band Sandwich? This happens:
Nike Sportswear Summer 2011 collection honors Nike’s Athletics West heritage as each apparel and footwear icon is stripped down to address a basic performance need, reengineered for a modern look with a burst of colors that energize the season’s wearable pieces.
Fusing modern street style with classics, Nike collaborated with Pinoy rock band Sandwich to develop the Nike Sportswear 2011 lookbook as captured through the lens of dynamic duo EverywhereWeshoot and visualized by the talent of graphic design group Team Manila. The collaboration brought to life what the Nike Sportswear Summer 2011 collection is all about – a laidback lifestyle that banners a splash of colors, funk and functionality.
Showcasing a new edge and style, the Nike Sportswear summer collection features the classic Nike icons, the Cortez and the Grand Slam Polo, products with a quintessential blend of Nike’s past, present and future with authentic stories to tell making it an absolute necessity for hitting the streets in style and comfort this summer.
Just for fun, I used Polyvore to create a peg of my fave items from the said collection:
Love Nike and Sandwich? Show ‘em some love by creating your own Nike Sportswear set via Polyvore just like how I did above. :) I’m tossing 5 limited edition Nike Sportswear posters signed by Sandwich to the best sets (5 winners, 1 poster each). Here are the contest mechanics:
