To say that I’ve been swamped (but happy!) at the onset of the month is a wild understatement. Like most of you, I’m playing sink or swim with my workload, wits and relationships. Then again, we all know that there’s no rest for the wicked! :) Over the last 2 weeks, I was able to nail down much of what’s on my task list, successfully cook my meals daily (I’m obsessed with meal planning these days!) and even squeeze in a little beach getaway with the girls and their husbands.

While drowning in never ending to dos, I haven’t at all forgotten about my Shiseido White Lucent review and giveaway. I just thought I’d push the envelopes a little farther road testing the products, checking to see how my skin would react to “product withdrawal”. Just like crash diets, doesn’t it stink when great products make you breakout/flake/purge when you stop using them? These are my absolute can’t live withouts when it comes to my eyebrows. I may let them go every so often but that’s just because of the shade (sometimes my hair’s borderline dirty blonde making these colours too dark). I love all of them to bits because they do the job plus stay on until I remove them at the end of the day. Tried, tested and abused — they outlast water (“bagyo-proof” as a friend called it), sweat and (eep!) facial oil.

In a nutshell, here are my 2 cents on the products above:

• shu uemura hard formula in WALNUT — Most economical! It took me almost 3 years to use up one pencil considering I used it daily.
• MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil in TAUPE — Great for Asian skin tones + brown hair. No red undertones too!
• Shiseido Eyebrow Pencil in BROWN — Hands down: my best bet when I need to wear full and natural looking brows. Too bad it’s not locally available.
• Majolica Majorca Brow & Lash Colorist in BR555 — Save version of MAC Brow Set in Girl Boy (only Php 595!). If you find it too dark, go for the vanilla shade.
• Charm Dream Brow Duo — I use this to groom my brows & lashes and to apply the MUFE WEC.
• Make Up For Ever Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector in 0 — My favourite brow product esp. when I go red or brunette. Used daily, refill tube should last you somewhere between 12-18 months.

Swatch love time! Do note that the shu uemura hard formula only “works” when run over brows. It took me 20 lines to get some colour on my arm!
