I think this entry says it all — I’m head over heels over these palettes!

I find all the colours workable alone or blended together. Brand love aside, I find these palettes super sulit for its price because it has everything one needs for both everyday and the holidays.

We wrapped up the 9hr curriculum last Saturday by further understanding Color Atelier:
- the 411 on pressed eye shadows (matte – M, pearl – P, iridescent – IR, metallic - ME, glitters – G)
- different types of glow-ons (blush/soft, shadow and accent/vivid, highlight/lift)
- transformable day to night looks
- false eyelashes application

yesterday’s must haves :)
Here’s my gently contoured mug before eye shadow application:

Skin Care:
Red:Juvenus Vitalizing Refining Lotion
Red:Juvenus Intense Vitalizing Concentrate
Red:Juvenus Vitalizing Retexturizing Emulsion
Depsea Moisture Replenishing Eye Gel
Face:
Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse SPF 30 PA+++ in Beige
Face Architect Smoothing Fluid Foundation In 754 (734 was tad dark for me at the end of the day)
Pro Gel Cealer in 7YR Medium
Face Powder Matte In 7YR Medium Light
Glow-On in M Medium Amber 761 (matte medium rosy brown to contour)
Glow-On in P Soft Peach 530 (pearl soft tangerine on apples of the cheeks)
I worked most of my looks around this pre-made Color Atelier palette. I used the pearl eye shadow to highlight and the black one to serve as accent and darken florescent hues.

P White 910, P Black 995, and P Soft Peach 530

Yesterday’s class was all about face structuralization + make-up (level 2) and a sneak peek into Color Atelier (level 3).

my make-up school must haves: lots of coffee and my Charm PRO brush set
(The latter got Patrick’s seal of approval!)
Level 2 gave me a better understanding of the following:
- the bone structure of the face — where and how to contour to enhance the facial dimension (blush & bronzing techniques)
- the facial muscles — how to work with and not against them to achieve longer lasting make-up
- skin quality and thickness — how to create a natural skin texture
- base make-up routine — the low down on the brand’s primers, foundations, and concealers
- essential eye makeup forms — single form, double form, point fix/accent
- eyebrow styling

If you’ve been reading my blog long enough (meaning since my Multiply days), you can tell what’s my favourite makeup brand without batting an eyelash. :) I always wanted to attend their Color Atelier class but for some reason, other priorities and expenses always bubble up unexpectedly. With Christmas nearing, I decided to reward myself for all the hard work this 2011 and once and for all attend their classes.

My kind of classroom (apart from the kitchen that is!)

WAIDAMINIT. FOTD on the title? Are you on the right blog? LOL
Yesterday, I had to put on a pretty mug because it’s my aunt’s 50th birthday slash thanksgiving. It was Hawaiian themed and that alone caused an anxiety attack. You see, I love the beach and all but I never like being glammed at my kind of paradise. I just like wearing boardshorts, a tank, and gazillions of SPF. Gov hinted me and my brother to dress up and not just wear our pambahay (aka. boardshorts and tanks). Challenge accepted, I wore a dress that I would probably wear in a yacht party in Hawaii. And they didn’t get it. LOL What they got was 1) I made and effort to fix my hair and 2) me and my mom were wearing falsies because we’ve come to accept that we have the shortest lashes in town.
This is the look I sported last night. Too bad the lippie didn’t last as long as the eye makeup. :(

My heart is breaking into a million pieces right now. Why is this beauty exclusively sold in Malaysia???
photo via Jamie Chin
The Dazzle Me collection debuted in Malaysia just before the Wong Kar Wai (Holiday 2011) collection steps out of the golden curtains worldwide. The former is a collab work between shu uemura and Black Book artist Taisu. There are 12 limited edition designs that’s blinged up with birthstone coloured Swarovski crystals being sold for RM 90 each.
January — Garnet Glamour
February — Amethyst Seduction
March — Aquamarine Temptation
April — Diamond Dazzle
May — Emerald Beauty
June — Pearl Passion
July — Ruby Love
August — Peridot Lure
September — Sapphire Shine
October — Opal Delight
November — Citrine Charm
December — Topaz Twinkle
It’s very rare that I bring my eyelash curlers with me so I’m pretty sure I can keep the stones intact probably for life. *lemming* Are you in Malaysia right now? Please help me get my hands on the Peridot Lure eyelash curler. :)

My wallet is in deep regret that its owner is massively addicted to shu uemura. Why? It’s yes, reasonably priced for its superb quality but it never goes on sale. I think all the stars are aligned at the moment because this October, you can score limited discounts to my all-time favourite beauty brand. :)
If you haven’t (why not????) tried shu uemura’s infamous Cleansing Oils, now’s the best time to try and buy! Until the 31st of October, you can scoot over to the shu uemura boutique at the 2nd floor, North Wing, Power Plant Mall Rockwell, Rustan’s Makati, and Rustan’s Tower and enjoy 15% off on their iconic cleanser. How? Just swap your old facial wash or makeup remover for a fresh bottle of the shu uemura Cleansing Oil of your choice.

The second way to score a discount from shu uemura’s through the exclusive Societe De Kerastase card:

Once upon a time, I thought this beauty’s just for my hair fancy. Their tie ups left and right and now nabbing me an exclusive 10% discount from shu uemura (plus more brands!) just made it my fave privilege card of the moment. :)

The thought of getting those pretty and colour punched pressed eye shadows for as low as Php 625.50 is making me smile from ear to ear. :) Who wants to go payday Friday shopping with me? :)

I knew I had to pop one of my fave pink-brown eye shadows from MAC the moment I got home with my new Color Atelier palette from shu uemura.

shu uemura ME medium brown 856 vs. MAC Style Snob
I got this precious MAC Style Snob LE eye shadow (this is from the MAC Love That Look collection) from Sophie and I love it to bits. I love it wee bit much that I don’t use it very often because I’m scared to hit the pan! Imagine the huge grin on my face when I finally saw a possible dupe that’s not only less expensive but’s also a part of a brand’s permanent colour entourage. :)
