Week 03: Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair Serum

Admit it: all of us have ugly days. Some, even very ugly, haggard days. I find it rather amazing that some women have this amazing talent of seeming not to have it (classic example: Patty Laurel) while some have the confidence and the looks to totally resist it (like my good friend S). Name dropping left and right, can you tell that I’m having a panget day?

I’m saving you the horrid sight so no pictures.

I’m having an extra panget day right now because I’m red all over (as in from my scalp down to my soles) due to allergies. I hate that I can’t hide it nor conceal it (it will just get worse). What’s worse is that I don’t know where I got it. The doctor said it could be the air (as in pollens and all the micro shiz we don’t see) but it might also be viral exanthem. :( Whatever it is, I don’t like the fact that I can’t divert my frustration to my favourite anti-panget activity aka. working out.

While I love shopping and putting makeup on, for me, nothing beats working my heart out when I’m feeling ugly. In fact (and you don’t have to agree!), I think I look better when I’m working out rather than when I have makeup on. #confidenceihazit

2012

I digress from the ugly talk — I love how my skin looks like in the photo above. The pimples are gone and I think I’m on my way to getting that much coveted glow. I’ve well abused my body last week pushing myself to the limit at the gym and at work. Can you tell from the photo that I’m at my wits end out of stress?

How about you — how do you deal with not-so pretty days? Share them below! While you’re at it, don’t forget to join my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair giveaway. :)

ps.  Since I can’t afford to sweat ergo workout at the moment, I bought myself new shoes to feel less panget.

  1. Hi Phoebe!

Quoting a line from the movie In Her Shoes (2005): “When I feel bad I like to treat myself. Clothes never look any good… food just makes me fatter… shoes always fit. ”

So, yeah, though I love eating and stuffing myself with yummy and delectable food, on ugly days, I get myself a nice pair of shoes (oh, ok… clothes too. Haha!). Retail therapy. It never fails to make me feel better. :)

p.s. – Don’t worry, you still look great. Though, I hope you feel better soon. Allergies begone! :D

  3. I have to agree with you. Not-so pretty days can be solved by working out AND drinking LOTS of water. I accidentally discovered this when I was required to drink liters of water a day by my doctor. It beats wearing makeup on. :)
